Suzanne Koster

Suzanne graduated from Stony Brook University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. It was her previous experience as a high school athlete in soccer and softball that first introduced her to the field of physical therapy. With a desire to match her interests to a fulfilling career, she chose to pursue a future in PT. Suzanne graduated from Stony Brook University in 2008 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Upon graduation, Suzanne began working in the outpatient setting treating individuals with orthopedic, balance and vestibular limitations. She has completed numerous continuing education courses in her areas of interest, such as balance and vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy and kinesiotaping. Manual therapy is her greatest area of focus, with courses completed in cervical-thoracic integration, lumbo-pelvic integration, soft tissue mobilization and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.

Suzanne began working at Bright Bay PT in 2011 and has felt at home with a like-minded staff, all of whom maintain the highest level of patient care and professional development. She enjoys the diverse caseload that allows her to meet new and interesting people every day. She also appreciates the ability to balance her career with quality time with her two young children.

In her time away from work, Suzanne values time spent with her family and friends.  She also enjoys yoga, running, cycling, traveling, hiking, snowboarding and paddle boarding- just getting outside and moving! She is happy to be part of a field that aims to return individuals to healthy movement patterns and modify when necessary to keep you active.
